Ryedale Group
The Ryedale Group presents a full programme of circular walks of varying lengths throughout the year, mainly in and around the North York Moors National Park. In addition there is normally a linear walk in stages over the course of each year involving linking coach travel, (e.g. The Cleveland Way). In June of each year a full-day coach ramble is arranged outside Ryedale's normal area. Click here for Group walks

Join the Ryedale group on Sunday 24 June, 2012, when we’ll be exploring the beauty of Swaledale. There’s a choice of three linear walks, of approximately 11 miles/2000 feet ascent, 9½ miles/1400 feet ascent, and 6 miles/750 feet ascent, all ending in Reeth, so we’re sure there’s something for everyone. On our return, we’ll be stopping off at the Anchor Inn at Whixley for a meal. At the time of going to press, the cost is still being calculated. However, by the time you read this, we will know! Just to give you an idea, last year’s cost £23 per person (including the meal). So if you’re interested, then please do contact any member of the Ryedale committee on a walk for a booking form; or email Sam on ra.ryedale@btinternet.com or Anne on ryewalk@hotmail.co.uk or phone Christine on 01751 467177. Everyone is very welcome, including any of your friends whether or not they are members of Ramblers. Fine weather isn’t guaranteed but we’re usually lucky!
