Our Local GroupsThe East Yorkshire and Derwent area of the Ramblers' Association is sub-divided into a number of local groups. Area RA members are normally allocated to their nearest group by postcode unless they request otherwise. All RA members in the area are welcome to join in with the activities of any group. Members of the public are also invited to take part as guests in our activities before deciding whether to join the RA. As well as helping to produce our area programme of guided walks, groups also arrange social events, working parties and other activities. Select a group name on the left or click on the map to find out more about each group.
Several of our group boundaries have recently changed as the group based in Driffield has been dissolved. Beverley, Hull&Holderness and Pocklington groups have taken on extra territory. Click here for a full list of parishes now covered by Beverley, Hull & Holderness and Pocklington groups. There is also a group specifically for younger RA members in their 20’s and 30’s which covers the whole Area. This is known as “Get Your Boots On” or GYBO for short.
