East Yorkshire and Derwent Area Ramblers

walking to protect our local countryside

Was it the promise of a relaxing walk, or good food recommendation at The Dawnay Arms that attracted 17 members to Newton on Ouse for this 6 mile pub lunch walk led by Marilyn Skelton?

Taking an outward route through the grounds of Beningbrough Hall Parkland, the group stopped to hear information about the estate - one of the walkers being a long time resident of the village. On leaving the parkland it was along cross field paths towards the village of Beningbrough Village before turning onto the River Ouse bank.

Returning was a gentle stroll along the river bank back to Newton on Ouse.
