East Yorkshire and Derwent Area Ramblers

walking to protect our local countryside

A fine, sunny, late morning at Huggate as 15 members arrived for a 6 mile walk to be led by Tony Corrigan.

A glorious day to be on the Yorkshire Wolds as the group went through the village, taking note of the historic well, pond and church. Then across to Glebe Farm before descending through Horse Dale and an early lunch stop at one of the Yorkshire Wolds sculptured seats.

Resuming, the group moved into Harper Dale, continuing through to make use of a new right of way into Rabbit Dale. Following the Chalkland Way through Cow Dale walkers finished with a little ascent up the road into Huggate.
