East Yorkshire and Derwent Area Ramblers

walking to protect our local countryside

Not a very pleasant day at Huggate as 9 members arrived for this 8 mile walk led by Clive Owen.

In light rain and a strong breeze, the group set off from the village church, following The Yorkshire Wolds Way to Glebe Farm and then across to Pluckham Farm where a small clump of trees provided adequate shelter for a coffee stop.

Resuming, it was onwards to Gill's Farm to rejoin The Yorkshire Wolds Way into Brubber Dale and West Dale to reach Fridaythorpe Pond for lunch.

For the return section our walkers remained on track through Holm Dale and Horse Dale to arrive back at the village church and then to the local Tea Shop for refreshments, where our Leader in keeping with the festive season displayed 'his antlers'.
